Private detective Jane Mugo has called it quits after a long career as an investigator.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, November 29, Mugo announced that she will no longer be a detective, as she felt her tenure had come to an end.

She stated that she was now of age and her exit marked the beginning of a new journey to the youth who will take over from her.

“I want to state that I have resigned because I am now old enough. I have mentored young boys and girls.

You have seen some of the volunteers are from the University of Nairobi, Mout Kenya University and Zetech University. I am now concentrating on my community-based CBO. The investigation will be done by young boys and girls," she uttered.

The private detective asked Kenyans not to run away whenever they see her in public.

"If you happen to see me doing your social life in churches don't run away, I am no longer an investigator. I am now a mother," she stated.

Referring to her work, she stated that whatever might have happened made her a strong woman and that's why she will be focusing on passing the same energy to the community.

"Whatever could have happened made me stronger and that's why I am where I am. I want to give back to the community and tell them that even Jesus himself was crucified. Anything is possible," she added.

Mugo delivered her resignation speech after her CBO Trimo Humanitarian Watch received an invitation from the Chief Magistrate Thika law court and organizers to visit Macheo Children's Organization on Saturday, November 26.

She was impressed with the organization's work in taking care of the infants and feeding the community.

She also called on all people to join her in serving the community.

“If you are in Kenya, Diaspora, my follower, client, my friend join my Foundation we serve humanity together. I have many families &  four orphanage homes requesting for food, clothes, stationary, special needs, sanitary pads & Monetary funds,” she announced.

In April 2022, Mugo's dream to venture into politics suffered a huge blow after she lost the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket to vie for the Kirinyaga County Women Representative seat.

She was floored by 28-year-old lawyer Jane Njeri Maina who went on to clinch the seat in August polls.

Kenya's Spy Queen also hit the headlines in January 2021 after being featured in a BBC feature, attracting cheers and jeers in equal measure.
