Sanctuary Tambarare, an expansive ranch situated on 90,000 acres at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Nanyuki County has been ranked among the best resorts in Africa.

According to a survey by the United States magazine- Condé Nast Traveler- the resort was ranked third hence rubber-stamping Kenya's mark in the tourism industry.

Their eggs are safely preserved in Italy with hopes of the continuity of the species through In vitro fertilization (IVF).

The rare sight of the two animals offers a one-of-a-kind experience for both locals and foreigners. The two rhinos are kept under 24- hour surveillance by armed guards.

According to a recent global study, Africa's rhino population has drastically reduced by 97 percent since 1993. The Conservancy, acclaimed as the largest sanctuary in East and Central Africa, hosts 150 endangered black rhinos.

The resort also consists of 10 luxury tents, with each incorporating a different but elegant safari look. From different Masai-inspired artwork to billowed curtains, the tents offer an epic view.

Tourists have the opportunity to ride horses, cycle across the Laikipia plains and also view the endangered hippos.

"Tambarare can sign you up to meet the local anti-poaching canine unit (the bloodhounds are friendlier than you might imagine) and the park’s rapid-response team, who deal with everything from first aid to chasing bandits," read part of the survey.

The sanctuary offers an-inclusive package at Ksh602,683 per person.

Aside from Tambarare, Mara Plains Camp was also honoured among the best African camps.

With Ksh359,045 for a minimum of two nights, you get to enjoy game-viewing activities, park fees, flights and transfers.
