Tourism Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza, on Sunday, December 25, welcomed over 500 tourists at the Port of Mombasa.
The tourists came riding in an MS Nautica luxury cruise ship which docked at the newly built terminal, which costs the country Ksh1.3 billion.
CS Malonza indicated that the arrival of the tourists would help the country raise Ksh100 million through their activities including visits to different attraction sites and hotel accommodations.
Over 500 tourists who rode on the exclusive cruise ship are set to visit top sites in Mombasa, Tsavo and Shimba National Park.
According to luxury Cruise and home, the ship charges between Ksh197,000 per trip, with some even hitting Ksh4 million.
