Former Nairobi Mayor Professor Nathan Kahara eulogized Mwavizo as an exceptionally skilled, credible, and unbiased reporter.

According to the former mayor, Mwavizo will posthumously be remembered in his pending works including the unpublished magazine peace and happiness.

“Before his demise, we were teaming up to launch a new magazine titled “Peace and Happiness” with Mwavizo as the Chief Editor,” Kahara indicated.

However, it is his work as the Dunia Wiki Hii producer on KBC that will be remembered by many Kenyans who used to tune into the program every day to know the happenings around the world.

Apart from his work at KBC, Mwavizo has also served other Kenyan media houses in different capacities.

He has also worked as a freelancer before being appointed by the government as a senior communications officer at various Ministries.

Mwavizo equally lectured in various institutions across the country.

He is survived by five sons and two widows Rose Msae Mwavizo and Anne Nyaguthie Mwavizo.

His death came barely weeks after the demise of yet another media veteran TV journalist Catherine Kasavuli who caught the attention of every Kenyan including President William Ruto.

President Ruto went on to offset Kasavuli's medical bills that had accrued to Ksh.4 Million.
