KenGen Announces Internship Opportunities for Fresh Graduates: How to Apply

Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) announced a mass recruitment of interns for the 2023-2024 cohort.

In an advertisement published in local dailies on Wednesday, January 11, KenGen invited fresh university graduates to apply for internship opportunities across 25 disciplines.

Graduates were asked to complete their applications before January 17, at midnight.

"KenGen is seeking to recruit qualified and result-oriented individuals as interns. Interested candidates are required to submit their applications online through our career portal," the advert read in part.

KenGen seeks to hire librarians, communication officers, accountants legal officers, and civil, mechanical and electronic engineers.

Other internship opportunities include technicians, hydrologists, geologists, property officers and Information and communications technology (ICT) officers.

The firm maintained that it was a fair employer and warned that it would disqualify those who would be caught canvassing, falsifying and misrepresenting their qualifications.

On the home page, click the 'internship' icon. This will lead you to a new web page with opportunities.

Click the position you would like to apply for and read the job description and qualifications.

Click the 'Apply' button. This leads you to a 'Log In' page.

Once logged in fill in the online forms and click 'save' at the end of the application.

Those who do not have accounts can click on the 'Create Account' button.
