It is believed a fourth person was crushed in the explosion.

Area deputy police boss Thomas Bett confirmed the incident that targeted a convoy of government officials.

One of the cars, a Toyota Hilux Double Cabin was entirely damaged in the blast while the rest turned to Hailey camp after the attack.

Reportedly, an escort car missed another attack by a rocket-propelled at the Nyongoro area.

Kenyans called for the relevant authorities including the Ministry of Interior and Defence to act promptly to prevent other such incidences from occurring.

In December 2022, six militants who fled Al Shabaab Training Camp were arrested sneaking to Kenya. Among those arrested were five Ethiopians and a Tanzanian national.

Additionally, the US government offered a Ksh1.2 billion reward for people with details on terrorists behind the 2020 Manda Bay bombing.

"Have any information on the individuals responsible for the attack? Submit a tip and you will receive a reward of up to Ksh1.2 billion ($10 million)," the US announced.
