When President William Ruto, on Thursday, January 12, 2023, reverted back to his signature Lexus LX 570 car model, little was known about the details of vehicles that usually form part of his legacy convoy.
In a presidential entourage are top-range cars that are not only offering comfort but also act as status symbols for the Head of State and his team.

1. Ruto's Lexus LX 570
President William Ruto frequently used his Lexus LX 570 during the just concluded August 2022 General Election.
According to the Lexus website, the car goes for around Ksh20 milion and Ksh27 million, and is described as a high-end Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV).
"Trailer sway control is designed to detect and help suppress unwanted trailer movement caused by wind, bumpy roads and even steering operation," Lexus boasted of the ride.
Lexus LX 570 drives on a 5,700cc petrol V8 engine capacity that weighs around 2,600 kilogrammes. The seven-seater SUV is also fitted with pre and post-incident safety systems.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is known to ride in his Toyota Land Cruiser LC 300, which he actually used during his inauguration at Kasarani Stadium on September 13, 2022.
Gachagua's Land Cruiser 300 Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) costs around Ksh23 million and is loaded for a high-speed drive.
The 300 V6 engine is a 3.3-liter diesel and 3.5-liter petrol turbocharged engine that can sustain long-distance travel.
This car can be modified to fit all the needs of a dignitary.
3. CJ Koome's 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser

Wetangula's custom-made Mercedes Benz costs around Ksh14.3 million including taxes.
The 2015 Mercedes Benz S300 is fitted with a four-litre engine with a displacement of 3,000 ccs.
The car provides passengers with heated seats, soundproof windows, and electrically adjustable leather seats.
