PSC Announces Leadership Program for Government Employees; How to Apply

The Public Service Commission (PSC) on Thursday, January 18, announced life-changing opportunities for government employees.

Through a public notice, PSC announced that it was partnering with Emerging Public Leaders, USA, and Emerging Leaders Foundation – Africa to offer a one-year leadership fellowship program.

The opportunity is available to government employees working under different state departments and members of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

“PSC is receiving applications from suitable public officers who would want to have a fully paid leadership program.

“The program develops young public officers into effective leaders through a variety of approaches,” part of the announcement read.

On how the officers would be trained to be effective leaders, PSC revealed that it would employ a variety of approaches.

They include residential training, experiential learning, coaching, mentorship, job shadowing, conferences, and assignments.

Requirements for consideration

For you to qualify, you must be a government employee working in any state department or JSC for a period of not less than three years.

During the time of application, you must be working under permanent and pensionable terms.

You should also have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university and must have graduated in 2016 or later.

Applicants must be aged 18 -35 years.

How to apply

Applicants who meet the aforementioned requirements should submit a 500-word essay on why they consider themselves a suitable candidate for the program.

The essay should be submitted online through the PSC job portal www(dot)psckjobs(dot)go(dot)ke.

The deadline for the application is January 24, 2023.
