Azimio Party Leader landed in Kenya on Monday, January 23, from a working trip in South Africa.
Odinga was received at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), by Azimio principals, including Martha Karua and Kalonzo Musyoka.
Others at the airport were ODM Deputy Party Leader Wycliffe Oparanya, former Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Roots Party boss George Wajackoyah, Leader of the Minority side in the National Assembly Opiyo Wandayi and a host of Members of Parliament.
"Great to be back home, tukutane Kamukunji," stated Raila, moments after landing at JKIA.
Notably, Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni was also at the airport, hours after President William Ruto met a host of leaders from the former ruling party at State House, Nairobi.
"We must build a bigger and better team that will work together to effectively prosecute the agenda of the people of Kenya. We cannot move our country forward by leaving others behind," Ruto stated after the meeting.
The future of Jubilee in Azimio therefore remains uncertain, with more of its elected members likely to jump-ship and join the Kenya Kwanza team, as Ruto moves to consolidate his support base and weaken the opposition.
The former Prime Minister had announced that he will hold a public engagement at Kamukunji Grounds, Nairobi, shortly after landing in the country.
The rally was planned after a whistleblower alleged that he had evidence of mass rigging in the August 9, general election, that saw Odinga lose to President William Ruto.
Before Raila'a arrival, Kalonzo and other members of Azimio were seen holding talks with Wajackoya.
Embakasi East Member of parliament Babu Owino and Lawyer Makau Mutua were also pictured with Wajackoya.
Raila Odinga immediately after jetting in, was welcomed by the Azimio luminaries who were at JKIA.
After a brief consultative meeting, the Azimio team headed to Kamukunji Grounds for the rally.
Hours before the rally's scheduled time, Azimio supporters had already thronged at Kamukunji Grounds.
The rally came a day after Ruto dared Raila to call for protests, maintaining that they will move forward with the agenda of serving Kenyans.
