Govt Council Advertises Vacancies with Up to Ksh 326K Salary; How to Apply

Kenyans now have a chance to secure permanent and pensionable employment opportunities after the National Heroes Council announced 21 vacancies across various departments. 

In a notice published on Tuesday, January 31, the jobs range from managerial to office assistants and drivers. 

Successful candidates will pocket a monthly salary starting from Ksh19,502 to Ksh326,458 depending on the job scale and will also enjoy the house, commuter, and leave allowances.

The position holders will be based in Embankment Plaza, Upper hill, Opposite TSC along Longonot Road in Nairobi County. 

The Council outlined requirements for each role; indicating a detailed description of the position's duties and responsibilities.

For instance, those seeking to serve as the Chief Executive at the Council will earn a monthly salary between Ksh197,943 and Ksh326,458 with a house allowance of Ksh60,000 and an official commuter allowance. His or her tenure is set at three years renewable once subject to performance. 

Deputy director for Monuments and Research will be eligible for a monthly salary of between Ksh160,068 and Ksh231,870 while assistant directors at Policy and Planning department will pocket between Ksh125,365 and Ksh190,913 monthly. 

Employees in the lowest-ranked position of office assistant will receive between Ksh19,502 and Ksh25,352 while drivers will be paid between Ksh25,136 and Ksh33,803. 

The application window closes on Friday, February 10, 2023. 

The Council noted that the advertised positions will aid in fulfilling its mission of facilitating the recognition of heroes while also establishing the criteria for the identification, selection, and honoring of national heroes in general. 

How to Apply

Interested candidates who meet the requirements are advised to submit their application through the recruitment portal recruitment(dot)nationalheroescouncil(dot)or(dot)ke on or before the close of business at the stipulated deadline. 

While at the portal, the candidates will be required to download and duly fill out the Heroes Council application for employment form from the Heroes Council's official website. 

Once done click submit. 

During the interview session, the candidates will be required to produce originals of their Birth Certificates, National Identity Cards, Academic and Professional certificates, and transcripts.
