Days after announcing his exit from Radio Maisha, where he spent over 13 years on the airwaves, veteran journalist Ali Kauleni Hassan found a new broadcast home.

Kauleni, on Saturday, February 25, announced that he would be working at the Westlands-based Radio 47

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Kauleni added that he assumed the position of a Sports Editor in the yet-to-be-launched radio station.

"I will also play the role of a presenter, commentator and Swahili Education Show host on Saturdays, morning hours," Kauleni explained.

However, the legendary Sports Journalist played cagey with naming his co-host and the programme's name.

"I can't share the names, timings and co-hosts before we launch next month," he declined.

The veteran journalist announced his exit from Standard Group PLC via his column section of the Nairobian newspaper, where he opined on a number of topical issues.

"For close to 13 years, I have been hosting this programme but it is now time to say goodbye," Kauleni noted as he signed out from Radio Maisha's Saturday morning show.

"Life is about change just like birth, marrying and dying. Life is like celebrations or tears of joy. I bid farewell to you today," he stated.

Kauleni spent over a decade entertaining his fans on radio, television and newspaper.

He joined a host of experienced journalists who were poached by Radio 47, a sister station of TV47.
