Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, Tuesday, February 28, penned a heart-warming message to her husband, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who was marking his 58th birthday.
Dorcas joined her sons, Keith Gachagua and Kevin Gachagua, to celebrate their father at their Karen residence.
In photos shared by the Second Lady, Gachagua's family shared a cake on their house's porch in what appeared to be an ideal family bonding moment.
The two sons and the wife surrounded Gachagua as they posed for a photo with the DP, who was all smiles.
In her birthday wish message, Pastor Dorcas sent her appreciation to Gachagua, describing him as an "extraordinary" father and husband for her family.
She thanked God for the opportunity to celebrate Gachagua's birthday and prayed for long life for the DP.
"Today we celebrate a hero, the best husband and a father per extraordinary. With much love, we blow you HE Rigathi Gachagua, our family kisses and hugs and with much prayers for a long and happy life," the message read in part.
"We wish you a very happy birthday, we speak life to you and declare you shall surely age gracefully and in very good health. Happy birthday, Your Excellency the one and only Riggy G," she added.
The Deputy President's spouse has been actively involved in politics, both in the run-up to their election under the Kenya Kwanza government and after forming the government.
In a past function, the DP publicly praised his wife for being supportive and a perfect wife.
Gachagua, addressing a graduation ceremony in December 2022, noted that his wife was a Kenyatta University alumnus.
"Back in 1987, I took a bus number 45 to hang around. We would go to Kenyatta Market to hover around in search of a spouse, in a hall called Ruwenzori," Gachagua recalled.
