Florence Akoth, wife to Maurice Ochieng' alias Danny Miles on Wednesday, March 22, disclosed that Kenyans had reached out in large numbers to support her, following the demise of her husband.

Akoth told Kenyans.co.ke that well-wishers also reached out with condolence messages while others asked to help bury her husband, who succumbed to cancer.

"Miles passed on last night at 10 pm, I had rushed him to the hospital in the morning when his situation got worse," she explained.

However, the young mother complained that she was referred to several hospitals before she could finally admit her husband.

"When I brought him here, the doctors told me there was nothing much they could do for him," she alleged.

After his demise, Akoth appealed to Kenyans for support stating, "For all who have been with me in this journey to make sure Danny feels better, I thank you all. Unfortunately, he did not make it. He passed on yesterday at 22:00 late at night.

"I still need your support to help me in the farewell of Danny Miles. Please support me."

She noted that the money was to offset the pending hospital bill and cater for the funeral service.

Meanwhile, well-wishers rescued Ochieng's three-year-old daughter, pledging to support her education. However, the family urged Kenyans to continue supporting it through different measures.

Notably, the deceased suffered from cancer that saw one of his arms amputated. He was diagnosed in early 2022 and had been in and out of the hospital.

In January 2023, he appealed to a popular telco company to take care of his daughter if he succumbs to the illness.

"I am appealing to you, just help my daughter once I am gone because I can feel it," the heartbroken father wrote.

Miles, 28, has been eulogised by his fans as a brave, selfless father and friend who remained hopeful throughout his ordeal.

He reportedly dropped out of Kenyatta University due to a lack of school fees in his third year before venturing into the boda-boda sector.
