Kenya Power, on Saturday, March 25, issued steps by step guidelines on how to solve the 'Connect' error displayed on the meter token.

The institution responded to a concerned user who wondered whether or not his gadget had broken down.

"I do not know what happened, it does not work anymore because it is only displaying the word Connect," another user queried.

Kenya Power detailed that this was among the few errors that may occur when using the meter token.

On the 'Connect' error, Kenya Power urged the user to ensure the meter was fully charged and plugged into a powered/wall socket.

Furthermore, the user was advised to press 59698686 before entering the meter number. The user should then press 1275 4194 1448 6450 5970.

Conclusively, the user should press the red button once the meter shows dotted lines before loading tokens.

No connection between the meter and the power source often causes errors. Users are advised to use heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries when not plugged in.

Additionally, if the option does not work, the user is advised to unplug the meter and try plugging it at a neighbour's house to determine whether it is faulty.

However, when all options fail, Kenyans can contact Kenya Power for further assistance.

Kenya Power is responsible for ensuring adequate line capacity to maintain the supply and quality of electricity countrywide.

Furthermore, Kenya Power reinforces the power transmission and distribution network by constructing additional lines and substations.
