4 Kenyan Exotic Hotels Charging Upto Ksh 300K a Night to Be Opened Within Months

The Kenyan hospitality industry will receive a huge boost in 2023 with the opening of four exotic hotels targeting the super-rich.

With the sector still reeling from the shocks of the pandemic and global recession, the hotels are expected to pump significant foreign exchange into the economy.

Kenyans.co.ke compiled a list of the hotels which are expected to be destinations of choice for tourists visiting the country.

 Angama Hotel

The Angama Hotel will be an addition to the existing line of Angama Amboseli luxury camps and is expected to open its doors to the public by November 2023.

The Angama Hotel will be situated at Kimana Sanctuary which is a favourite tourist spot as it acts as a corridor for Amboseli, Chyulu and Tsavo National Parks.

According to Alison Mitchell, head of special projects for Angama, the new luxury camp will be one of few areas in Kenya where visitors can see the endangered Super Tusker elephant. 

The luxury hotel will be charging upwards of Ksh180,000 per night for single guests.

Hilton Hotel which closed its doors in Nairobi in January 2023 will make its comeback in April 2023 by opening Kwetu Nairobi.

The hotel will comprise 102 guestrooms, an outdoor pool, spa, fitness centre, and a seasonal rooftop.

Kwetu Nairobi will be located at affluent Peponi Road, Kitisuru and will be a 5-star rated hotel boasting King Room and Deluxe King Room bookings.

The hotel which will be situated at Gigiri in Nairobi will be owned by Accor which already owns luxurious like Hotel Fairmont Mara Safari and Hotel Fairmont the Norfolk.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a rooftop that overlooks the forest.

“Gigiri Nairobi MGallery will also boast a bar and restaurant (one of four F and B concepts) and an infinity pool with a terrazzo median providing an oasis for guests while tying back into the stone accents throughout the hotel,” the management touts the hotel.

JW Marriott Masai Mara

The JW Marriot Masai Mara will be the first luxury camp in Kenya owned by the Marriotts.

It will be charging upwards of Ksh300,000 per night and will be an all-inclusive camp comprising just 20 private tents and suites with a design inspired by natural elements as captured with wood finishes, sandstone tiles, and stone mosaics.

Tourists visiting the luxury camp will enjoy activities like safari game drives, hot air balloon rides, nature and bush walks, Masai village tours as well as bush meals and sundowners among others.
