Days after a video surfaced of Sharon Njeri Mwangi allegedly ingesting poison before she died, her father detailed the tumultuous experience of trying to heal from his daughter's demise.

In a video seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Albert Mwangi Irungu pondered how someone could record a video while another person is taking their own life.

He added that despite the differences shared between couples, no amount of spite should prevent someone from saving a life.

"As I was about to heal, I discover that she is trending on social media. I was never told that there were differences between the two (Sharon and DJ Brownskin). Now is when I can see it.

"I have no ill will against anyone. I have grandchildren. You cannot take a video of someone who birthed your two children as she is dying, whether or not you two may have differences," he stated.

While recalling what transpired on the day he was informed of his daughter's demise, Irungu indicated that he received a call stating that Njeri had ingested poison.

He divulged that at the time, he knew Njeri and DJ Brownskin to be a couple that lived in harmony and did not depict signs of discord between them.

"(At the time), I was at work and received a phone call indicating that she had ingested poison. I have never been told what happened. All I knew is that they lived in harmony and happiness. They (frequently) visited my home in Kamulu multiple times alongside their two children," he noted

The father demanded justice for his daughter noting that it would give him closure.

"Now regarding this video on social media, as a parent, all I want is justice for my daughter," Irungu urged.

A seven-minute video surfaced online of Njeri allegedly ingesting poison before her demise. The video ended with their son rushing to his mother's aide in an attempt to give her some milk. This raised more questions as to the purpose of Njeri ingesting the substance while being recorded.

An obituary report revealed that Njeri died on July 29, 2022, and was buried at Koimbe Weithaga Village, Murang’a County, on August 6, 2022.
