Michael Macharia, popularly known as DJ Brownskin, who went viral on Sunday, April 2, paid an emotional tribute to his wife, the late Sharon Njeri during her funeral.
DJ Brownskin, who consoled his children during the burial was unable to deliver the tribute he wrote for her final sendoff when called upon by the master of ceremony (MC) and was assisted by a male relative.
The father of two expressed disbelief in the loss of his wife, whom he admitted played a huge role in his life.
"Many questions run through my mind with no answers. Anyway, God knows best.
"She was not only my wife and the mother of my two children, but she was also a cheerful friendly person and made many friends as we can all witness today," the tribute.
DJ Brownskin promised Njeri that he would take good care of their two children. He also expressed how closely knit they were and that she had left a huge gap in their lives.
"She has inspired me in many ways that I cannot explain. I have lost a worthy soulmate but I have nothing but memories of our nearly seven years of life together.
"As I promised, I will take care of our two children. They are proof of our love and life together. I devote my life to them. Though I cannot fill the gap you left, I will try and narrow it down. Farewell my love," he stated.
The DJ revealed that although their relationship was not flawless, they always found a way to sort out their issues and emerged stronger.
He described his late fiance as a friendly and jovial woman who loved her family dearly and put them first. Njeri, according to her husband, was also a good cook.
DJ Brownskin went viral after a video of him allegedly recording his wife taking poison in the presence of her children hours before she died.
