Kwalanda explained that the magazine show will be a blend of sports entertainment and informative segments, featuring a range of personalities.

He added that he will focus on upcoming local talents across all sports played locally. The show will also include punditry bites on international sports.

"I will give opportunities to budding analysts to thrive and share fresh insights, away from the names we are used to. Fans will also get a chance to win prizes," Kwalanda explained.

The news was well-received by his loyal fans who congratulated him on landing the new role and promised to tune in to the show.

His return came months after he ditched the media to venture into politics. Kwalanda vied for Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Manda Shivanga ward in Kakamega County.

He has 14 years of experience in the media industry, wearing several hats including reporter, anchor, producer, and editor.

He joined Mediamax Network in 2008 as a full-time reporter of news stories, before he was promoted to presenter and editor in 2012.  In 2015, he took up the role of digital journalist at K24.

Kwalanda left Mediamax for Switch TV Kenya as a broadcast journalist until the station terminated its broadcast services in December 2021, when he took up the digital desk.

An alumni of Lubinu Boys High School in Kakamega County and Daystar University where he pursued a degree in communication and media studies, Kwalanda also plays a number of sports.
