WhatsApp is the most popular messaging platform with more than two billion users globally.

Its success has led to the rise of many imitations including Whatsapp GB, also called GB Whatsapp. Other knockoffs include Whatsapp Plus and FM Whatsapp.

Whatsapp GB is the most popular modified WhatsApp with millions of users. It comes with many features that are not in the original WhatsApp.

They include the function to read deleted messages, download the statuses, and the ability to receive notifications when one of the contacts changes their profile picture.

However, it has a number of challenges:

1. Accounts can be banned.

People who use imitations usually get banned because of using unsupported versions of WhatsApp.

It usually starts with a temporary ban and then a permanent ban.

This is because the modified versions violate the terms of service of WhatsApp.

2. It is not verified by Play Protect.

Play Protect by Google checks applications for harmful features.

This means that it could have malware that could adversely affect your phone.

Additionally, the modified applications also have no official website.

This means that if the data is leaked there would be no way of holding the company to account.

3. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.

This means that the messages are not safe.

Messages could be hacked and personal data may be leaked.

4. Illegal to use.

Whatsapp GB and all other modified versions are illegal.

They are made by copying the intellectual property (IP) of WhatsApp without permission.

Considering the pros and cons, modified WhatsApp versions, such as Whatsapp GB, are not good for your phone.
