Nandi Senator Samson Cheragei on Wednesday, May 17 stated that President William Ruto's Cabinet Secretaries risked being sacked should they underperform.
Speaking during an interview on Spice FM, Cherargei asserted that Ruto was performance oriented and demanded the same from his team.
He added that no one would be spared if they failed to help the Head of State deliver on his manifesto.
The senator expressed that the recent changes of Principal Secretaries were a demonstration of the high targets set by Ruto for his cabinet.
Cheragei explained that Ruto's firmness was in response to the rising concerns over taxation. He added that Kenyans needed to see value for their money.
"I can tell you that going into the future there more heads that will keep rolling to the highest level of CSs because we are now getting to real work.
"We are requesting Kenyans to pay taxes and those Kenyans will want the services to be top-notch. So the changes that will come will go as high as CSs.
Therefore, he advised the leaders to orient themselves with the Kenya Kwanza manifesto and Ruto's plan.
"They should study the manifesto and the plan and know how the plan works. There is no room for complacency. The underlying thing is performance," the Senator expressed.
During the interview, the lawmaker also cited instances where Ruto stopped PSs from making presentations during a Kenya Kwanza Parliamentary Group meeting over shoddy preparations.
This he stated was similar to the CBC task force whose members were once released from a State House meeting after 10 minutes.
Cherargei was making reference to Ruto's recent changes to his administration including the sacking of Health PS Josephine Mburu.
