The State Department for Higher Education and Research under the Ministry of Education announced that the Royal Thai Government had secured scholarship opportunities for Kenyans.
In a notice, the ministry noted that the scholarships, under the Thailand International Development Corporation, were fully funded for students at the Asian Institute of Technology.
Additionally, the statement noted that the slots were for Kenyans seeking to pursue a master's degree in different fields and had graduated with a second-class upper honours level.
“The ministry is in receipt of information that the government of Thailand has various scholarships to Kenyans for Master’s degree only under the Thailand International Post Graduate programme,” the statement read in part.
The scholarship covers the air ticket and airport pick-up service, domestic travel in Thailand and health and medical coverage.
Upon arrival, successful candidates will receive settlement money in addition to monthly living allowances as well as accommodation allowances.
Allowances for books and thesis allowances for compulsory fieldwork or data collection, as well as printing allowances, were also included in the scholarship.
The statement noted that the application deadline for the scholarship was June 15, 2023.

Interested candidates were directed to fill out an online application form on the Ministry of Education Website at www.education.go.ke
Successful candidates will be notified by the ministry of further processes and procedures thereafter.
"Further details on the scholarship and application procedures are available on the Ministry of Education's website.
"The duly filled application forms for all the advertised programmes should reach the ministry not later than June 15, 2023," the statement added.
