The driver dialled an emergency hotline number and reported the incident, providing the responder with the woman's name, their location, the woman's symptoms and whether she had incurred any injuries.

In response, a county ambulance with medics availed to attend to her. After administering first aid, the emergency service providers rushed her to the hospital for advanced assessment and admission.

Super Metro added that the crew also contacted the woman's family to alert them on the developments.

A section of Kenyans moved by the incident appreciated the matatu driver and his conductor for their act of humanity

“Be blessed abundantly. Indeed, we still have kind-hearted people in our country,” a social media user named Barnabas Onyancha commented.

Rebby Berger added, “God bless your company and wish the lady a quick recovery.”

On Wednesday, June 21, an expectant passenger delivered mid-journey aboard the Madaraka Express train to Mombasa from Nairobi.
