TV47 recruited news anchors Fred Indimuli and Ahmed Bahajj, who previously worked at KTN News, and appointed Joe Munene as its new CEO.
A source at the station confirmed the move to Kenyans.co.ke on Friday, June 23.
However, neither Indimuli and Bahajj's new roles nor their reporting dates were disclosed.
Ahmed Bahajj quit KTN News after four years, and six months where he was a show host, news anchor, and reporter.
Bahajj announced his exit from KTN News on June 8 and thanked the station for shaping him into a better journalist.
At KTN News, he hosted Swahili shows, including Zilizala Viwanjani and Kipi Sijasikia.
"It has been a pleasure working with one of the best media houses in the country. I leave a proud journalist," he wrote.
Before joining, KTN, Bahajj worked at China Radio International, where he was a sports journalist. At KTN, Bahajj replaced Abuller Ahmed.
On the other hand, Indumuli worked at KTN News as a news anchor, hosting Inside Politics and reading prime-time news.
He joined the media house in September 2021 to replace Ben Kitili a few months after quitting Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).
At KBC, Indimuli was part of the new team recruited to boost the fortunes of the state-owned media house after a revamp.
Other journalists who joined KBC around October 2021 included Cynthia Nyamai, Fayaz Kureish, Shiksha Arora, Ahmed Juma Bhalo, and Tom Mboya.
The University of Nairobi (UoN) graduate co-hosted Easy Friday alongside the ever-lively Shiksha Arora.
Indimuli has also worked at Citizen Tv, K24, and Indika Media.
