Mystery Over Death of Kabete Technical Student

A 19 year-old student of Kabete Technical Institute was on Tuesday, July 18th, found dead in his house, in Limuru Constituency, Kiambu County. 

The circumstances surrounding his death remain shrouded in mystery, particularly regarding the events leading up to the tragic incident. 

As per the accounts of family members, on Monday, July 17th, the deceased shared a meal with his family and friends before retiring for the night.

Philip Mwania, the Police Commander of Limuru Sub County, confirmed the incident and assured that investigations have already been initiated. 

In light of this, the recovered mobile phone has been recovered and secured for further examination and analysis.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke  the police commander said the deceased's body has been transferred to Tigoni Mortuary where an autopsy will be conducted to establish the real cause of death.

Following the incident, it was not immediately clear what caused the student's death. A section of the deceased's colleagues at school speculated that he committed suicide while another alleged he committed suicide.

"The matter will be settled once the postmortem results come in,” The police commander asserted. 

The family members of the deceased disclosed that there were no noticeable or abnormal behaviors exhibited by the late student in the hours preceding his death.

Eyewitnesses who observed the body of the young man reported significant injuries to his face.

The deceased's family and friends expressed their profound disbelief upon hearing the news, as the deceased was known for abstaining from alcohol and avoiding any involvement in illegal activities. 

Meanwhile, locals in the area pointed out the increasing prevalence of insecurity incidents, attributing the rise to the escalating problem of alcohol and substance abuse. 

The case has been forwarded to the Director of Criminal Investigations for further investigations.
