Police reports indicate that the body did not have any visible injuries and has since been moved to a mortuary awaiting post-mortem.

Further, police sources told Kenyans.co.ke that the cause of death is still unclear and they have commenced investigations to establish any foul play.

Over the past month, there has been an increase in cases of people found in their houses. Police have not released the findings of the cases, with most dragging weeks after they were reported.

The cases also come on the backdrop of rising crime rates, especially in major urban areas.

Theft and offenses against morality accounted for more than half of the total crimes reported to the police in 2022.

This represented an 8.4 per cent increase as compared to 81,272 cases in 2021.

About 5,530 cases were for defilement, 3,056 were homicides and 827 were rape.
