Following this, the receptionist alerted police from Kaptembwo police station, located two kilometres from the hotel.

The officers, alongside Crime Scene and Investigations (CSI) and detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Nakuru West, visited the scene and found the man's body lying on the bed.

"The scene was visited, processed and documented by officers from Kaptembwo police station, CSI personnel and DCI Nakuru West and found the body lying on the bed with no visible physical injuries," read part of the police report.

"The body was moved to Nakuru County Municipal Morgue with no visible physical injuries awaiting post-mortem."

The incident comes barely a week after a 59-year-old man collapsed and died at his girlfriend's house in Kitengela, Kajiado County. According to the police report, the man collapsed after having lunch with his girlfriend, sending the girl into a panic.

"At around 4:00 pm, as they were making love, he fell unconscious. She placed him beside her but unfortunately, the deceased went for a long call on the bed," the police report stated.

"This made the girlfriend call a friend, John Kinywa, to assist her in taking him to hospital."

The police officers in charge of the investigations await the post-mortem results to establish the cause of death.
