Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) on Saturday announced that it had completed the placement process for the Kenya Medical and Training College (KMTC) students.

In a statement, KUCCPS advised the applicants to visit the official portal to check their application status.

“Notice! KUCCPS has completed processing applications for KMTC courses submitted from November 24, 2023, to fill limited vacancies,” KUCCPS announced.

KUCCPS also clarified that those who had not been booked for placement would be considered when another opportunity arises.

This is after one of the applicants raised concerns about not being able to access his results despite logging in to the portal.

Responding to the matter, KUCCPS advised the applicant to wait until the body initiates another placement process.

"I have logged in but the status is still saying active, what might be the problem?" the applicant remarked in a statement.

On November 24, KUCCPS announced that it had opened its portal for students seeking to join the KMTC.

However, KUCCPS warned that only limited slots were available while the application window was restricted to a specific duration.

"KUCCPS invites applications from eligible and qualified secondary school graduates for placement to the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC)," the statement read in part.

According to KUCCPS, limited slots had been created for students who failed to report after registering in the initial application exercise.

Even so, the placement service, while opening the portal for applications did not reveal the number of available slots and the criteria that would be used to select successful applicants.

How to Check

  1. Log in to the Student’s Portal

  2. Enter your details including the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education index number, KCSE year, and password when prompted.

Applicants are advised to use their Birth Certificate Number or Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) Index Number as their initial password.
