First Lady Rachel Ruto on Saturday attended the traditional wedding of the Communications Authority Chairperson Mary Wambui's son in Kiambu County.
Accompanied by the government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura, Rachel donned a dark brown and orange outfit that complemented the couple's attire.
The newlyweds were dressed in brown and beige attires. The groom was in a traditional suit paired with an outstanding shoe.
The bride on the other hand was in a modern dress with a traditional touch. The body con brown dress was decorated with beads on one arm resembling the traditional Kikuyu attire.
They stood on the dancefloor, inscribed Nyambura and Kamau, showing off their signed marriage certificate before engaging with the cheering guests.
Rachel Ruto was seen admiring the colourful couple while she was seated.
"I must say Kamau and Nyambura that this is a very unique wedding, congratulations to parents," Rachel Ruto stated.
Guests at the wedding complemented the couple's dressing with most dressed in traditional Kikuyu attires complete with headbands and hats.
The reception was a sight to behold with hanging lights, well-arranged seats, screens showing the dancefloor, a bouquet of flowers on each table, and a chandelier decorated with orange flowers.
Meanwhile, after the ceremony, the guests took to the dance floor to celebrate with the happy couple.
Others present at the wedding were Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi, Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro, and Gatundu South Member of Parliament Gabriel Kagombe among others.
