A family in Kasarani is questioning the mysterious death of its 33-year-old kin, who worked as a banker.

The deceased was last recorded by a CCTV camera on Friday, December 15, 2023, climbing the stairs of a Kasarani apartment with difficulty after a night out party with friends, among them a tenant at the building.

According to an eyewitness and the neighbour of the woman in question, the man was seen falling down from the third-floor moments after he was involved in a heated argument with his host.

Earlier, the CCTV footage captured the woman picking the man from downstairs and assisting him to climb up, and also recorded the two entering the lady's house.

"I heard voices, but I couldn't really couldn't get what was being said. I saw hands and I called the caretaker really fast. We saw his legs, the caretaker tried to grab him, but he was gone,"

"I saw this lady who lives upstairs. She said she told the guy to leave his house, but he jumped," the eyewitness claimed, but did not clarify at when she spoke with the woman or if the caretaker was allowed into the house to prevent the man from jumping.

The CCTV footage in the basement further recorded the banker crushing through a roof and past some iron bars before landing on the floor.

Concerned neighbours rushed to the scene to check on him and claimed that he was still struggling to breathe as blood oozed from his body.

Reports alleged that he was rushed to the nearest hospital but pronounced dead on arrival. His body was later ferried to a morgue in Kasarani pending an autopsy.

The neighbour and the family of the deceased called upon the police to fast-track investigations into the case but also lamented that detectives were yet to visit and document the crime scene.

Police were also accused of failing to interview the eyewitness, the woman in question and the caretaker.
