Felix Omondi famously known by his stage name Dr King'ori has quit NTV which is managed by the Nation Media Group.

The comedian, famous for his satirical show, The Wicked Edition, hosted his last program on NTV on Friday, January 24 after the media station ended all its editorial shows in a restructuring plan.

An insider closer to Dr King'ori confirmed to Kenyans.co.ke that the comedian's exit was linked to NTV suspending the editorial shows amid speculations of job losses.

"He resigned after he was reportedly frustrated by some powerful people in the management," the source stated.

Kenyans.co.ke was the first to break the story of the looming job cuts at NTV.

Joe Ageyo, NMG's Editorial Department's Editor-in-Chief, however, declined to confirm nor refute the scoop and asked Kenyans.co.ke to consult him, after his leave ends in mid-January.
