From Mombasa, the truckload will then follow the Mombasa - Mariakani - Athiriver - Nairobi - Juja - Thika - Sagana - Isiolo - Moyale stretch.

Given that the load will cover 5.5 meters of the road, motorists were advised to maintain their distance.

The statement also revealed that due to the heavy nature of the involved cargo, the truck transporting the heavy load is 26 metres long.

"This is to notify all Road users and the general public of the abnormal load movement on the following routes. Please exercise caution when in the vicinity of this convoy," read the notice in part.

According to the schedule, the transportation will be done from 6 am to 6 pm.

However, specific dates and times when the truck will be at specific points along the highways were not highlighted.

In the same fashion, another company is also transporting a heavy load along the Mombasa - Voi - Nairobi - Eldoret - Malaba Highway.

The truck hauling a double-decker container measuring 5.2 meters in height and 4.5 meters in width began its journey on January 10 and will conclude its trip on April 10.
