KTN News Anchor Brenda Czeda Radido has announced her exit from the station after 5 years.
In a lengthy post on her social platforms, the news anchor expressed her elation at having been granted an opportunity by The Standard Group to grow and develop into the polished presenter she is at the moment.
At the same time, she also extended her gratitude to her colleagues who she worked with over the course of her stay at the Mombasa Road headquarters.
"And just like that. My five-year stay at the standard Group KTN News has come to an end. KTN News has built me and made me who l am today the brand Brenda Czeda Radido," she stated.
"KTN News has taken me to places l never thought of nor imagined. This far l have come it has been God without him l wouldn't be here and who l am today."
The anchor also shared a video showing her colleagues surprising her with gifts. In the video, Radido was overwhelmed upon receiving a bouquet of flowers from sports news anchor Moses Wakhisi.
Her other colleagues also presented her with a chocolate cake bearing the words; Go Chase the Bag.
A teary Radido proceeded to cut the cake as her fellow journalists cheered on and captured the moments on their phones.
"To my workmates and bosses thank you for believing in me, ohh my goodness l lack words to describe the great teamwork that we had," she explained.
At the station, Radido presented news both during the day and at prime time. She also hosted Weekend Prime on KTN News.
Before joining KTN in 2018, Radido worked as a news anchor at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) for two years.
Her entry into the media industry came in 2013 when she first began working as a reporter at Ebru TV.
Radido's exit deals a fresh blow to cash strapped Standard Group which is currently struggling to retain its talent. Kenyans.co.ke has previously reported that the financial problems have culminated in the media stable being unable to pay its staff for several months.
Recently, business news anchor Jimmy Mbogo was poached by Citizen TV, exercabating the talent haemorrhage at the media house.
