Following the incident, Kenyans advised married couples to resolve their differences amicably instead of taking each other's lives.

Over the last several months, cases of family feuds resulting in deaths have increased across the country.

A section of Kenyans have cited the high cost of living as one of the biggest factors behind the increase, which most point out has left some frustrated leading to killings and suicide cases.

Meanwhile, another family in Juja, Kiambu County is in mourning after a husband killed his wife, their kin.

The deceased left behind five children who are also fearing for their lives.

According to the family members, the husband had repeatedly threatened his wife before finally committing the murder.

The family members narrated that the deceased had reported the matter to the police but no action was taken.

"We want justice for our sister, she has left behind children and they are in danger," one of the family members stated.

The family revealed that the 35-year-old woman had visible marks on her body indicating that she was killed. They refuted the position adopted by the police that the deceased took her own life.

"When I went to inspect her body at the mortuary, she had injuries and blood all over her body. A rope was placed on her neck but my sister did not commit suicide," the family member added.
