Rachel Ruto Office to Hire New Consultants: How to Bid

The government has announced a tender inviting Kenyans to submit bids to provide consultancy services at the Office of the First Lady.

In a notice issued on the local dailies on Tuesday, State House Comptroller Katoo Ole Metito noted that the interested applicants would be required to sensitise the public about various initiatives led by First Lady Rachel Ruto.

According to the notice, the bidding price for any proposal is set at Ksh500,000 from a reputable bank or insurance company approved by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority. 

This sum is payable to the State House Comptroller.

"Prices quoted should be net inclusive of all taxes, must be in Kenya shillings and should remain valid for 126 days," the notice read in part.

Applicants interested in the role must submit the tender documents by March 26, 2024, by 11:00 am.

The original and copy documents should be enclosed in a plain sealed envelope, clearly marked with a description of the request for proposal and the tender number.

The applications should be deposited at the State House, Nairobi Gate D tender box, addressed to the State House Comptroller.

Once the documents have been submitted, they will be opened at the Administrative Block Boardroom at State House, Nairobi in the presence of the applicants or their representatives.

"The Executive Office of the President, State House reserves the right to reject or accept in whole or in part any tender without obligation to give reasons for the decision."

The programs from the First Lady's Office aim to empower women and uplift the livelihoods of vulnerable communities.

To achieve this, the initiatives are divided into three: Women's Economic Empowerment, Environment and Climate Action and Faith Diplomacy.

One of the key programs includes Mama Doing Good which aims at improving the socio-economic transformation in society.
