Residents of the Kiorimba area in Meru County on Thursday, March 14, called for the arrest of a woman after she tortured, held hostage and castrated a Form Four student.

According to the area leader Pastor Stanley Thuranira, the woman’s daughter visited the boy and spent the night at his house.

The young man escorted the girl home the following morning, where he found her mother and another lady waiting for them, hiding in a bush near the house.

“They caught him, the other lady put a rope around his neck while the mother hit his head several times with a wood until he lost consciousness,” the area leader explained.

The two women then carried the boy to their home where they tied him up against a tree.

“She tied his private parts with another rope and kept pulling them vigorously. She even used other objects to hit the student continuously,” he added.

Thuranaira further expressed the utter shock from all the area leaders, as the woman had allegedly finished up the job by biting and pulling the young man’s private parts hard, before letting him go.

He also noted that the woman, her husband and her children went into hiding in a nearby church following the incident, before they were found.

The area leaders have urged the authorities to arrest the woman, who has been bragging about her disciplinary actions against the victim.

“The entire village has come together to pressure the authorities into taking action, as it has been two weeks since the incident and no arrests have been made,” the leader added.

The boy has since received treatment and hospital care, however, it is yet to be determined the extent of the injuries sustained from the torture.

In a similar incident in January, a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer was arrested for torturing and inflicting pain on a 25-year-old medical student's private parts, after finding him in bed with his wife.
