Minutes after modelling, pastor Dorcas was taken through the exhibition process as she lauded the exhibition's organisers for their creativity.

"Congratulations to all the exhibitors and participants, you have presented your innovativeness and culture that India and Kenya have separately shared," the second lady noted.

The event attracted over 45 exhibitors dealing with Indian bridal accessories, wedding decor items, bridal jewellery, clothes and other wedding accessories for brides and grooms.

Stating that the creative industry has the potential to employ many people and contribute optimally to the country's development and eradicate poverty, Pastor Dorcas noted the sector was also unlimited.

"I am encouraging our young people and hundreds of others, who have invested in the creative industry, to fight on, to keep on trying and never give up. Whatever they create, millions of people will be able to see their work, the art and the creativity," Dorcas Rigathi remarked.

"I encourage you to keep on exploiting their potential, the skills, talents and abilities God created you with must be explored and exposed to the world for the good of humanity," she added.

As she concluded her speech, Pastor Rigathi encouraged the youth to venture into the creative economy industry and increase employment opportunities.

The Deputy President’s spouse stated that the creative industry had the potential for job and wealth creation and national integration.
