The university administration was yet to issue a statement by the publishing of this article.

Elsewhere, another accident involving a matatu and a tractor was also reported in Bomet County. Several Kenyans were feared dead while multiple people sustained serious injuries.

The accident occurred along the Olonguroune-Silibwet Road.

Reports indicate that the accident was caused by the matatu driver who reportedly failed to stay within his lane resulting in the matatu rolling over the busy road.

Eyewitnesses at the scene attempted to help the victims before the police and medical personnel arrived.

The injured were rushed to the nearby hospitals for specialised medical treatment while the deceased were taken to the morgue.

These two accidents come barely two days after two Kenyans lost their lives in a road accident along the Eldoret-Nakuru Highway.
