Popular YouTuber, Frederick Marwa alias IamMarwa on Sunday, took to his social media platforms to appeal to Kenyans to help him and his girlfriend retrace items stolen this morning.

The YouTuber narrated that he and his Mexican girlfriend, Ro Cabrera were taking a walk in the Upper Hill area of Nairobi when a rider on a motorbike ambushed them.

“This just happened to us !!! Kindly share it widely to help us. I lack words; I fear to be in this City. Hope someone helps us identify this Thief”, Marwa appealed on his social media handles.

He detailed that they had just arrived from their village located in Migori County, hence their choice to go sightseeing in Nairobi.

Marwa also explained that they were robbed opposite a police station in the Upper Hill area.

A video posted by the YouTuber, showed a rider who was dressed in black and wearing a mask slowing down and when he got close to the couple, he grabbed the bag off the lady’s hand.

The rider later sped off after snatching the bag, leaving the couple stranded.

According to Marwa,  the snatched bag had in it two mobile phones, a Go Pro10, cash, identification documents belonging to the lady as well as bank cards.

However, he stated that their attempts to trace the phone showed that it was within the Mathare area.

At the time of publishing this article, it was unclear if the items had been recovered.

The incident is one of the many, where residents of the City have been robbed by criminals operating on motorbikes.

Consequently, the public has resulted to lynching suspects who they claim have robbed motorists consistently over time.

On March 24, students of the Murang’a University forced police to release a suspect in custody and later lynched him over phone theft suspicions.
