Bribery Suspects Arrested in The Kabete By-Election

2 people have been arrested for allegedly trying to bribe voters at a polling station in the ongoing Kabete by-elections.

The two who are currently in police custody at the Kikuyu police station were arrested at Kiragaru Primary school on suspicion of trying to influence voters.

Out of the nine candidates contesting for the Kabete parliamentary seat, only two- Newton Njenga (National Vision Party) and Kiriro wa Ngugi (DP)- are registered voters of Kabete constituency.

The Kabete parliamentary seat in Kiambu County was declared vacant following the cold blood murder of immediate former MP George Muchai alongside his two bodyguards and a driver on February 7.
