Businessman Vows To Sue Deputy President

The now controversial businessman Herbert Ojwang has threatened to take a legal step and sue Deputy President William Ruto.

This follows Ruto's interview on Citizen TV's Big Question on Tuesday.

Ojwang claims that the DP made defamatory statements against him on national TV during the interview by referring to him as a con man in regards to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) refurbishment saga.

The two have been involved in a tussle of sorts, with each accusing the other of having played a role in what would have been a corrupt deal worth millions.

On one hand,  Ruto accuses Ojwang’ of plotting to swindle the public in the MTRH upgrade deal.

Ojwang on the other hand, insists that Ruto only turned against the deal which he had known about all along when Ojwang refused to bribe him.

Speaking to journalists Thursday, the businessman claimed that Ruto's remarks had hurt his reputation to his family.

He further stated that his reputation had been tarnished not just with Kenyan clients but internationally.
