A court in Nyamira County charged six officials of the county government with corrupt procurement of medical cover.
The medical cover was valued a SH30 million.
A warrant of arrest was also issued against a seventh employee- the human resource manager of Nyamira county assembly who was not present during the court proceedings.
The six suspect who were arraigned before Nyamira Resident Magistrate Walter Onchuru denied the charges.
They were released on a cash bail of 50,000 shillings each.
