CS Omamo's Leadership Questioned After KDF Address

After Defence Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo's address regarding the al-shabaab attack on a Kenya Defence Forces camp in El Adde, Somalia, critics rose to bash the CS for what they termed to be weak leadership on her part.

Kenyans online picked an issue with her appearance and tone of voice during the speech, with some citing that it was not 'authoritative enough'.

Questions were further raised on why Interior and Coordination CS Joseph Nkaissery was the first person to comment on the tragedy which hit Kenya instead of Omamo, who is in-charge of the affected docket.

At the same time, a section of Kenyans viewed the attacks on Omamo as sexist, demanding respect for women in leadership.

Here are the reactions:

Someone advice CS Racheylle Omamo that wen it comes to military, presentation matters. This dangling girlie hair and all is very uninspiring

@makali001 This lady ni kama amelazimishwa kazi. Not the right person at all for that Docket.

@makali001 Well said Omwami.Listening to her and Mwathethe one could think the latter is the CS.

There's something about the voice of #Raychelleomamo

Did it escape us all that Raychelle Omamo is Kenya's Defense Cabinet Secretary? Why did Joseph Ole Nkaissery give the initial KDF brief?
