Police officers in Nambale, Busia County, have launched a manhunt for a Form two student who went missing leaving the body of his girlfriend hanging lifeless in his house.
The girl, a form one student, was reportedly found dangling from a rope tied on the roof inside the house on Saturday evening.
According to village elder Jonathan Karandini, the two young lovers from Namaindi Secondary School had engaged in a bitter exchange prior to the girl's death.
Citizen Digital reports that the two had earlier on been suspended from school for indulging in intimate relations, which was against the school’s regulations.
The body of the deceased was taken to the Busia County Referral Hospital morgue.
Police have launched investigations into the mysterious incident.
