A company linked to the journalist is alleged to have told the job seeking youth to buy the book first, before being employed as the books' promoters.

According to The Star Newspaper, the youth were told to buy the book which retails at Ksh 1,800 in bookstores, at Ksh299 before applying for the advertised job.

Drama ensued when the youth, who had successfully applied for the position went to sign their contracts, only to find the founder of the company who had invited them missing from his office at Hamilton House on Wabera Street, Nairobi.

The caretaker told the youth that the occupants of the office had vacated the offices last month and that they had not qualified for the jobs because they did not follow the right application procedure.

The enraged youth, some who had travelled from out of town threatened to hold demonstrations and took to social media sites crying foul play.
