Jubilee Responds to ODM's 'Evidence' Showing How Uhuru Fixed Ruto

Members of the Jubilee Alliance Party have accused ODM of talking "nonsense" and have "nothing to offer Kenyans".

In a statement on Friday, JAP Vice Chair David Murathe stated that the Opposition party should make it clear to Kenyans whether they would like Deputy President William Ruto exonerated by the International Criminal Court or they were out to complicate the case further for their own interests.

“ODM believes it can get traction by dragging the name of President Uhuru Kenyatta into their murky scheme of seeking to divide the Jubilee coalition but they should know that we are actually attracting more partners,” he said.

Mr Murathe spoke in response to ODM's revelation of evidence showing how Uhuru 'fixed' Ruto at ICC.

On Friday, the Opposition released ten reasons explaining why they were confident that Kenyatta fixed Ruto, asserting that the nation ought to be told the truth about the whole matter and move away from politics of lies, misinformation and mere survival.

Raila Odinga's brother Oburu Odinga went ahead to say that he was willing to testify in favour of Mr Ruto as they were together everyday till it was pronounced that they had lost the elections.

“When he was charged we thought there was tangible evidence. We are ready to testify for him because we need to move away from the 'fixing' claims,”

Speaking at a press conference in Capitol Hill, the leaders stated that honesty would be the best way to drive the nation instead of the “politics of lies, misinformation and survival.”
