A house belonging to KANU Secretary-General Nick Salat was Thursday night gutted down by a fire that reportedly begun at around 11 pm consuming property worth millions.
Speaking to journalists Friday morning, Mr Salat confirmed that no one was injured during the overnight inferno at his Kericho home.
"I am deeply devastated. I have lost millions. The power was reconnected yesterday and it seems they (technicians) did not do a good job and this could have caused the fire," he said.
The KANU boss, however, speculated that the fire could have been caused by an electricity connection done at his home on Thursday.
Police officers in the area have launched investigations into the matter.
