Research firm InfoTrak released an opinion poll indicating that the incumbent governors in Meru and Bomet Counties would retain their seats.
According to the report, in Bomet, the gubernatorial contest would be a heated race with the incumbent Governor Isaac Ruto taking a slim lead of 38.9% over his Jubilee rivals Joyce Laboso who got 37.6% and Dr Julius Kones who managed 7.3%.
In Meru County, Peter Munya leads the gubernatorial race by 41.4% while his rival from the Jubilee party Kiraitu Murungi had 29% and Kilemi Mwiria got 6.3% while 20% were undecided.
The polls sparked different opinions with some online users stating that the poll was fake while others agreed with the survey.
This was on the trends after the Kenya Copyright Board held a rights forum to discuss issues affecting the local content on local TV stations.
The forum was to educate film producers and directors on how to improve their content.
