Deputy President William Ruto turned 49 on December 21, and Kenyans on Twitter were quick to shower him with birthday wishes and virtual gifts.
Under the hashtag #RutosBirthdayGifts, most Kenyans offered Mr Ruto 'parcels of land' supposedly due to previous allegations where he has been implicated in grabbing incidents.
The most recent land scandal incriminating the DP involved the Lang'ata Primary school playground, a property that had allegedly been grabbed by Weston Hotel - a lavish establishment Ruto stated he was just a shareholder.
