Fatuma reportedly spent the better part of Thursday at Wajir District Hospital, since she could not be airlifted using a commercial aircraft due to lack of an identity card.

Doctors at the hospital said that removing the knife would endanger Fatuma's life prompting her to be airlifted to KNH by a team from the AMREF Flying Doctors.

Meanwhile, Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko confirmed that the victim's husband, Mohamed Deeq had been arrested and would be arraigned in court on Friday.
