Residents in Muruka, Kandara constituency, Muranga County are in shock after one man killed his friend over a 30 shillings debt.
The victim, namely Kaindo, worked as a mechnic. He was allegedly stabbed by his friend identified as Mwangi after the two got into a heated argument.
Residents claim the two are regular patrons of a pub in Muruka and that the consumption of illicit brew sold in the area may have led to the fight.
Police had to intervene after an irate mob attempted to lynch Mwangi.
